Click here to watch video *World Environment Day Observed at Don Bosco HSS Mannuthy* Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Mannuthy observed World Environment Day on Wednesday, 05 June 2024. Dr. Sreekumar V B, Principal and Head of Forest Botany Department (KFRI Peechi) spoke on the occasion and gave awareness to the students and staff about the extinction of different species. He explained the theme of World Environment Day 2024 'Land restoration, desertification and drought resilience'. Master Ouseph Shaju along with the school community took an oath to protect nature. The recitation and the speech by Kumari Parvathy Vijayakumar and Kumari Freny Franco respectively announced the need to protect mother earth. Dr. Sreekumar V B along with the principal Rev. Fr. Babu Manissery SDB planted a sapling symbolising the day and gifted saplings and seed balls to the teachers and students. A short video prepared by the organisation BREADS was screened. It focussed on the different ways that one can bring a positive change in making our earth cleaner and greener. Kumari Amritha Jayakumar proposed the vote of thanks and the programme ended with the National anthem.
