12th South India Netball championship 2018-2019, held at the Don Bosco Higher Secondary School on 19th to 21st November 2018 is given below. The Championship was commenced with team registration on the first day 19th Nov 2018 at 5 p.m. The event was welcomed by Rev. Fr. Geo kallandanthiyil (Principal & org committee chairman). The official inauguration of the Championship was held at 10 a.m. by Sri Sanjaya Kumar IFS (Secretary Kerala sports council). South Zone Flag was hoisted by Sri Mohd. Khajan Khan, the state flag was hoisted by Dr. P T Sainudheen, President Kerala Netball association, the district flag was hoisted by Sri. Rajeesjh V Cheerakathil,President Thrissur Net ball association, and the school flag was hoisted by Rev Fr John Palithottathil . The presidential address was delivered by Adv. K Rajan MLA,Ollur, Key Note Address was done by Rev. Fr. John Palithottathil, manager Don Bosco Schools, Mannuthy. The felicitations were done by Sri. Mohd. Khajan Khan, Sri. Rajeesh V Cheerakathil, Adv. A S Ramadasan, Thrissur corporation councilor, Sri Tojo Mathew, PTA President Don Bosco HSS, Mannuthy. The vote of thanks was proposed by Smt. Tanuja Nujun. After an energetic days of thrill and excitement, the closing ceremony started on 21st November 2018 at 11.30 am. The welcome speech for the function was done by the Sri S Najumudeen(organizing secretary, South Zone Netball championship). Presidential address was done by Rev. Fr. John Pallithottathil SDB, Manager Don Bosco Schools, Mannuthy. The prize distribution was done by Rev. Fr. John Pallithottathil SDB, Rev. Fr. Geo Kalladanthiyil & Sri Mohd. Kahaja Khan. Felicitation was done Sri Mohd. Kahaja Khan, Dr. T I Manoj, admistrative Board member, Kerala sports council, Sri. M R Renjith, admistrative Board member, Kerala sports council, Sri Vincent Kattookaran, President, Thrissur District Sports Council, Dr. P T Sainudheen, President Kerala Netball association, Sri S Sassidharan Nair, joint Secretary, Kerala Netball Association. The vote of thanks was proposed by Rev. Fr. Geo Kalladanthiyil, Principal, Don Bosco HSS, Mannuthy A total number of 180 players(Telengana, Andhra Pradeesh, Karnataka, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Kerala) and 24 Officials (12 coaches and 12 Managers), 15 referees from the various states participated in the competition.
